HollandBIO members and other biotech R&D companies are invited to join to celebrate the power of biotech at the Dutch Biotech Event 2022 on Friday 9 September!

Digitalization in Quality Management
On 14 September we explore the efforts of two companies to establish digital, integrated quality management systems in the pharma/biotech sector: NecstGen, a brand-new CDMO specialised in Cell & Gene Therapy, and Simploud, a software company specialised in quality management solutions.

Seeing Stars Leiden
Leiden will be home to a remarkable experiment: Seeing Stars Leiden. In the wide vicinity of the Leiden Observatory, all the lights will be turned off on 25 September between 22.00 and 23.30. The more lights that are turned off, the less light pollution there will be and the more stars we will be able to see in the sky.

◼️ BrAInpower
From deepfakes, streaming services and dating apps to facial recognition, self-driving cars and medical applications: we can no longer ignore artificial intelligence. It's changing our lives, as steam engines once did during the industrial revolution. The BrAInpower exhibition shows where AI can be used successfully, how we can reap the benefits, but the exhibition also highlights its downsides.

Two international primary schools have opened in Leiden for the 2022 school year.

◼️ Safeguard your invention with IP rights
Your LSH business can get independent, free and accessible IP assistance at the LBSP by Katja Apelt, an IP advisor at the Netherlands Patent Office. She will answer all your questions about patents, trademarks and trade secrets.
