Dear ,

Digitization and sustainability are the driving issues nowadays. In this mail we inform you about our latest metrological products and applications in the process area.

We would also like to present these products at SMART 2021 in Linz, but have decided not to take part due to the occasion. We wish the organizer and visitors a safe and interesting trade fair.

If you are interested in an on-site visit or an online meeting, please do not hesitate to contact us. We also offer engineering, training, repair and calibration services.

PROCESS

Early detection of water in dairy desserts with VOA dual wavelength Turbidity and solids content sensor ...

A broad family of dairy desserts worldwide
include custard-like preparations, called with a large variety of names (pudding, vla, crème dessert…) but sharing some similar characteristics. These products contains 60-90% of milk, and their texture has been modified for example with egg yolk, corn starch, gelatin or carrageenans.

Their common point is that even small quantities of water added to the ready product will cause texture change and consumer complaints. Producers are facing a challenging dilemma when they change product or finish a production
run. If they don’t push enough their lines,
product is wasted and can’t be reused or
reprocessed. If they push too much water, they end up with customer complaints and brand image damage. Visual control is typically not sufficient as it detects water too late, and many errors on the side of caution and accept a certain percentage of product loss.

sludge aeration air in sewage plants

Many municipal sewage plants apply the activated sludge process where sludge aeration air is being pumped into aeration basins, speeding up the degradation process.

Large compressors ensure sufficient sludge aeration air in the basins which requires a lot of energy. Generating sludge aeration air makes up the majority of the sewage plant‘s electricity requirement causing a significant power requirement in the municipality and therefore it has the greatest potential for energy saving.

The demand for sludge areation air depends on the level of pollution and the amount of water in the aeration basins. Said demand can be regulated by measuring the actual flow rate. The measurement increases the plant’s energy efficiency in combination with a corresponding compressor control.

New Transmitter Indigo510 – the economical solution for industrial environments ...

The new Indigo510 is the latest addition to Vaisala’s top-of-the-line Indigo transmitter family, all of which are compatible with Vaisala’s industry-leading Indigo measurement probes. The Indigo510 builds on the same modular platform and includes the same metal casing, software, and display as the flagship Vaisala Indigo520 Transmitter. Indigo510 is available also without a display.

The Indigo family forms a modular ecosystem with interchangeable smart probes, robust transmitters, and intuitive Vaisala Insight PC software. The probes can be used independently without a transmitter, or together with the Indigo500 or Indigo200 series transmitters to extend their features. The modular plug-and-play design makes the Indigo probes and transmitters easy to install, use, and maintain.

  • Humidity and temperature probes:
    HMP1, HMP3, HMP4, HMP5, HMP7,
    HMP8, HMP9, TMP1
  • Dew point probes: DMP5, DMP6, DMP7,DMP8
  • CO2 probes: GMP251, GMP252
  • Vaporized hydrogen peroxide probes: HPP271, HPP272
  • MMP8 moisture in oil probe

The Transmitter Indigo 510 is available form the beginning of October!

Hand-held meter MI70 with Probes

The purpose of this eGuide is to help to acknowledge when spot-checking and on-site calibration performed with handheld devices truly are beneficial, and what to consider to make the most out of the procedures.

The intent of this eGuide is to help the readers and their organizations determine the most appropriate activities that ensure the quality of their measurements. We hope this book provides the readers with a framework in which to place their own activities.

We recommend our products for the following areas of application:

  • Humdity: HM70
  • Dew Point: DM70
  • CO2: GM70
  • Humdity in Oil: MM70
