we made it! NASA was able to successfully set the MARS PERSEVERANCE ROVER down on the red surface of Mars on February 18th 2021. There are now the first photos of the red surface of Mars.
It won't be long from now until the MEDA device package from our partner Vaisala, which is equipped with HUMICAP® humidity sensors and BAROCAP® pressure sensors, will be used. As soon as this happens, we will inform you about it on our LinkedIn channel. Send us a request on LinkedIn now!

This application note describes the equilibrium sampling method to be used with the Vaisala CARBOCAP® Carbon Dioxide Probe GMP343 for measurements of CO2 concentrations and fluxes in soil, snow or aquatic ecosystems. Some practical hints are provided for the different environments to ensure successful and trouble free measurements. Anaerobic landfill gas is generated after attrition of the enclosed oxygen. Biomass stored in landfill waste is metabolised in a multi-stage degradation process resulting in mostly methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2).
Methane is one of the most significant greenhouse gases. Unless it’s caught it will continue to push global warming forward. That’s why its emissions have been successfully reduced. At the same time recording methane gas in landfills has been improved. The resulting methane is collected in wells and routed to the power generation. Due to the different compositions in a landfill and the continuously decreasing methane production all processes must be monitored.
